Quick Cards!!

Hi everyone.  I'm sitting here feeling warm and toasty and rather smug as I've been off work today and didn't have to travel into London with all this snow!!  Won't be feeling quite so smug tomorrow as it's still snowing as it has been all day so I'm sure tomorrow will be even worse!!
I've been catching up with my Christmas card making today and have made lots of quick makes! These were sort of quick makes but did involve quite a bit of colouring.  This awesome robin image is one of three digi images that I won from Delicious Doodles in a recent Winter Wonderland challenge.
As you can see, I've left the layout  very simple, using some fab Memory Box papers - I think from the Mistletoe collection! (I've tried to keep them in their sets but am failing miserably - you should see my craft room - it's carnage!)

Love the paper on this one!!  I glossy accented the berries in all the images and then added a touch of gold stickle but this isn't showing up in my pics.

I'm entering into the following challenges:

Cards for Men - Masculine and Christmas  (I was thinking to use these for male recipients as they're not cuties!)
Crafty Calendar - Winter with the optional extra of snowflakes - Robins are the epitome of winter for me!!
Totally Gorjuss - Trees
Crafty Creations - Christmas

And it's still snowing!!

We're turning Vintage at CES challenges this week.

Hi everyone - here I am, back with my card for this week's challenge at Crafty Emma's Store Challenge Blog.  This has been set by my fabby DT buddy Jen, who has chosen Vintage Christmas as her theme.  And look at this wonderful set of Vintage Christmas papers that you could win from Emma's Store here.

It's just made me really want these now!!!

On to my card, you may think it's not very, very vintage and you'd be right!  Silly girl that I am, I made a vintage card, but it wasn't a Christmas Vintage card, and didn't realise I'd boobed until this morning!!  So I made this card in a bit of a rush last night  and while I like it, I couldn't quite get the full vintage vibe - maybe if you squint your eyes!!

My bestest matey, Lesley, here, gave me this gorgeous Sugar Nellie, Demure, stamp recently, just because!!  What a lucky girl I am!  I've coloured her with my Aqua Markers and layered her up on Pink Paislee Mistletoe & Co papers, and Websters Pages, Santa and Sweet Seaon, all of which are available from Emma's  online store, so go and have a browse - but take your purse!!

I shall look forward to seeing lots of lovely Vintage cards this week and Emma has some fab new logos and blinkies for winners and top picks, so get crafting ( as if you need my say so!!)

I'm still struggling with my personal commenting but have four days off now to catch up on all things Christmas but also hope to get round to see you all and delight in your wonderful makes!!

More Mo's Elves for DT Call

I told you I loved these little guys and have been making several cards with them as well as my last one for PFP this week.  Mo's Dream Team blog are also having a DT call -now wouldn't that just be a dream to be on that team!!  So I'm gonna have a go!!
Now, I love these mini toadstools that are everywhere at the moment and thought it would be perfect with my theme for this card!!  I also added some white spots with my gel pen to the red candy dots to look like more fairy toadstools!  The little felt white snowflakes are from Paper Chase and the sentiment is from a Cosmo Cricket Christmas set that I bought at the NEC.
The next elf comes in the same set - such a bargain!!  More of the large Go Kreate Dies and Nestie's Labels 6 but a different colour scheme and lots of snowflakes!
And a close up:

Another red and Kraft version - I like her red spotty cheeks!!  Not sure I would like them on me though!
And another blue/green snowflake version!
Well that's all of them for now, I'm sure I'll be making a few Christmas cards with these little cuties!!

We're having a Blog Hop at Passion for Promarkers!!

WELCOME TO THE PASSION FOR PROMARKERS BLOG HOP!!
Over at Passion for Promarkers challenge this week we are celebrating the 6 monthly change of design teams with a blog hop.   I’m sure you are as excited as I am as there are lots of lovely goodies up for grabs!! We also have a few new faces on the design team so I hope you will leave them a nice comment to welcome them. I've had such a brilliant time over the last 6 months and feel a bit sad that our stint is over for now, but in the words of Arnie, we'll be back!!!

Firstly if you’ve arrived at my blog from Ida's blog you are in the right place, if not return to the challenge blog and start your hop again. Our blog hop challenge will last for 2 weeks so you have plenty of time to enter your card (or cards) and hop around the whole design team.

Our challenge theme for the next two weeks is “old & new” i.e. a brand new stamp/digi with old papers etc. Please can you tell us your old and new items in your post. Don’t forget to use your promarkers or aqua markers to be included in our prize draw.

For my card, I've used this lovely little digi image from the nib of  Mo's Digital Pencil!!  It's one of two you get in the set and they are just too, too cute!!!  That's just one of my new things, to be honest, I was spoilt for choice- think I have OCD - Obsessive Crafting Disorder!  The other new things are the large Go Create Label die cuts, also the smaller nestie labels - think they're Labels 6, and the Basic Grey Jovial paper.  The old things are the K & CO christmas tags, the ribbon, the candy dots and my ever trusty PMS!!

As you’ve read on the challenge blog the design team are also offering some candy of their own, so please leave me a comment on this post and I will randomly draw a winner for a promarker prize courtesy of Letraset.

You also have a “mystery word” to find and my contribution is the letter “P”. Make a note of my letter and then proceed to Michelle for the next part of the hop. If you get lost on the hop at all just return to the challenge blog for full directions.

I just want to let you know the wonderful prizes up for grabs for our blog hop challenge (these are in addition to the individual prizes on the DT blogs!!!):

Letraset are offering a full set of Aqua Markers to one lucky winner *woohoo*!!.

Wendy at The Secret Crafter is offering a Basic Grey ‘Oliver’ paper pad

Passion for Promarkers again - Challenge 78!

Yes, another week has been and gone and I'm here again with my card for the Stitching and distressing challenge at PFP set by the most cleverest Sue C!!  Firstly though, can I thank you all for the amazing cards for my challenge last week- so difficult to pick my top five, but you can check them out later on the PFP challenge blog here.
Sue's asked for cards with stitching, either real or fake, and distressing.  Well, I went for real stitching which actually looks quite distressed!!!  I.E. not in any semblance of a straight line and I had to go over some of it again as I had problems!!  Don't mind though as I've concealed the worst bits and it matches the general distressed ambience, don't you think!!

I'm loving my Tildas again at the moment- I think they're right on the money with these latest releases!  However, my daughter did ask how she could possibly kiss anyone under the mistletoe without a mouth!!

Used some wonderfully Christmassy Webster's Pages for my card - the only downside is that they're double sided and I know that on the back of one piece that I've used is a gorgeous little Christmas birdie - what a waste!!  The candy cane is a Sizziz die that I've then coloured with my PM's and added some glossy accents to the berries.
I've used lots of stickles on the flowers, Tilda's dress and the mistletoe berries, a few pins and there you have it!  Not traditionally Christmas colours but I like it!  I followed the sketch over on the Allsorts Challenge Blog, I just flipped the image for the layout of the flowers.
We have another great sponsor this week, Stampeezee, with a £10 voucher to spend with them here!!

I'm also entering the following challenges:

Allsorts - Sketch
Paper Playtime - Anything to do with Love - I love the Tilda, she loves kissing!!
The Crafty Pad- Christmas Sparkle
Crazy 4 Challenges - Christmas Cards
Ellephantastic- Christmas or Butterflies
The Secret Crafter - Sparkle and Shine
Fairy Tale Challenges - Anything Goes
Cute Card Thursday - Anything Goes

That's it for now, see you in the week!

Think Pink with Crafty Emma's

Hi there-Saturday again and that means it's time for our next challenge at Crafty Emmas.  This week the theme has been chosen by our lovely Carrie and she has picked Think Pink as her theme.

We have a fabulous new sponsor at Crafty Emma's this week - The Stamp Fairy and you could win 3 gorgeous images of your choice.  The Crafty Emma DT have used some the images available and made some wonderful cards with this week - so do check them out.

On to my card and this is one of the super cute images from Stamp Fairy.

One of my NEC purchases shown here - this awesome Tim Holtz Snow Flurry edger die!!  I thing I'm going to be using this alot and I even cut one or two extra flakes to tuck in behind my flower (this Pink one was from some Candy I won from Dena a while ago- yummy!!)  Lots of goodies that I've used are from Crafty Emma's on line store, including Promarkers, the Doily and Cat's Life Press Sentiment.  The papers are also from Emma's but I can't remember what they're called - Doh!!

Just a little close up to show you the flurry edger in my details and all the stickles!!

Off to do a bit of Chrimbo shopping this morning, thanks for popping in and see you later.

Define Good!!

So couldn't wait to use this new Tilda and the Candy Cane image together!!  I so love them!!   I also like this Tilda as her non-existent mouth is covered which means I can used it for peeps who don't get Tildas!!! Didn't actually buy them at the NEC  as the Magnolia stand wasn't there, but they arrived yesterday!!

Had such a great time at the NEC with my fab matey Lesley and such a laugh on the Friday evening with Dena and Andie - so lovely to meet you ladies!!  Also met up with the fab Mina and Jane, and Jacqui displaying her superb colouring skills on the LOTV stall!!  Great to meet you all - hope we can do it again soon!!!

I did buy the Studio G Sentiment stamps there and the Doily Die and the MS Icicle punch!!  Love new toys but I did pass some goodies over to hubby for Christmas - does anyone else do that?
The papers are Basic Grey Jovial and as I followed this fab sketch by Heather over on the Basic Grey challenge blog, I'm entering it there, as well as the challenges below:

Basic Grey - Sketch and papers
Fab'n'Funky - Circles (on the papers and the doily punch)
Scrapbook Sisters - Colours of Christmas
Craft Your Passion - Two of anything - two sentiments
Oh Alice - Tickets

Right, off to do a bit of blogging before bed time!  Thanks for visiting.

Passion for Promarkers - Colours of Old Photos - Challenge 77

My turn to choose the theme at PFP this week and I've gone for Colours of Old Photos- either black and white or sepia tones.  Clearly I've gone for the Black and White option!  We're being sponsored this week by The Secret Crafter and there's a £10 voucher up for grabs.
Photobucket
I needed to make a male card for a family member and loved this new Kenny K digi image and thought it would be perfect for the accountant recipient!!  You may recognise the layout from my Halloween card a while back but love this stair step design!!

I've coloured him with all three families of grey Promarkers and you can see a tutorial for how I did this over on the PFP Weekend Workshop this coming Friday. I dug out a rarely used Stampin Up rollagraph for the houses and just added some shading with my PMs to give some depth!  I also stamped some tree images and added them to give a silhouette effect. The grass and flower edging punches are Martha Stewart and the urgent/overdue stickers are some unused filing labels that I thought might come in useful!!
This pic is taken from the side just to show the tree silhouettes and the dimension a bit more clearly.

Of course, as it's a Kenny K image I'm entering into the Kenny K Krafty Girlz Challenge no 18 which wants anything but a square card.

My fab buddies on the PFP have produced some stunning cards again this week which you can check  out here.  I hope you're all going to do your usual and give us lots of fab cards to look at this week!!

Colour Create Challenge 57 Varieties!!

He-he!!  Yes, that's what we hoping to see for Challenge 57 at Colour Create this week  - lots of variety!!  Our lovely Di has chosen a gorgeous selection of colours - Mint Green, Black, Cream and Gold with the optional extra of fireworks or sparkle.  Here's your inspiration picture:
4 November - Challenge 57 - Di..Black, Mint green, gold and cream

Never mind the challenge, who wants those shoes!!!!  Aren't they just fabulous!!!

Enough of the distraction, here's my card.
I've used this gorgeous Sweet November image from CC Designs, and coloured her with my PMs with lots of stickles for her hair.  The papers are a mix of Penny Lane frome MME and Basic Grey.  I cut the stars from an old Harrods catalogue as the colours were perfect - one side was the mint green and the other gold - only the best, darling!!  I've gilded most of my edges with a gold leaf pen and the sentiment is a rub-on.
I've followed the sketch over on the  Sketch and Stash challenge blog and am also entering the following  challenges with my card:

Cooking it Up With Katie - Texture (glittery hair), Swirls and Black
A Spoon Full of Sugar - Lots of Embellies
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes

We're being sponsored by one of our regular sponsors , Michelle's Scrapbooking,
for this fortnight's challenge so lots of goodies there to tempt you in!!
The team have the most gorgeous cards to share with you so don't forget to check them out here - so loved these colours and not a combo that I've tried before but that's what a challenge is all about!!

This will probably be my last post now until Sunday as I'm off to the NEC on Friday with my best buddy, Lesley - our first visit and I'm so excited!!!!  Enjoy your weekend whatever you're doing!!
