Birds Blog Freebie Image

Thought this image was great for a male card as it wasn't a cutie image so great for older men - and my brother in law is an ageing rocker!!  And it was free from Birds Blog which has lots of freebie images and sentiments - what a lovely generous blogger, but then you all are in my experience!!!

Coloured with promarkers (of course!), papers are Dovecraft Male themed set and Rock Star strip was a magazine freebie!  Stars are cut out from the papers.  Bird also has a sentiment 'You Rock' which would have been perfick but found it too late!!  You can't really see it here but the guitar front has a lovely, shiny  3-d  look as I used Glossy Accents.

Couple of New 'Uns

Getting cracking on the Crimbo cards and loved colouring this Sugar Nellie Miss Clause image.  Used my PM's - it's so fab with all the new colours and shades.  Papers are from Papermania Christmas collection for this year, ribbon and brads from stash!

This next card is a thank you to my niece, Francesca, for a wonderful wedding day, but also because, they gave me some HobbyCraft vouchers as a thank you for helping them make their wedding stationary!!  Looking forward to spending them!!  The ribbon is actually what was on our name tags on the table which I think she'll like the idea of!

Spoonful of Sugar Sketch but late I think!!

Hello everyone!  Such a hectic day, well weekend really.  It was the hubster's birthday yesterday and today took my boy, Harry, up to University at Hertfordshire Uni!!  All rather complicated by hubby waking up this morning with the bug that my two girlies have already gone down with so he couldn't come!!  At least we got there early and avoided all the queues for keys etc.  Haz is studying Character Creation and Technical Effects - I bet it will be so interesting!  Anyhoo, just finished this using this adorable Christmas Holly Fairy digi stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil!  I just love this image!  Coloured with Promarkers, and used some lovely new K & CO christmas papers.  Sketch is from the Spoonful of Sugar challenge no 70 which I.m not sure if I've made the deadline for!!

Off to Ally Pally tomorrow, with my crafty matey Lesley - whoohoo but I shall be glad to go back to work Monday for a rest!!!  I didn't just say that did I  - nahh!!!!

My Lovely Followers! Updated - Phew, you're back!!!

I can no longer see my list of lovely followers so am unable to make a return visist to anyone who has been kind enough to follow me!  I also can't see any one else's 'follow' link on their blogs so am unable to add to my ever growing list of blogs I love to drop in on!  It seems to be a widespread  but random problem for other bloggers so I hope Blogger will rectify soon!!!!

Friendship Swap card

I made this card for a friendship swap on the Do Crafts forum.  Surprised it got there at all with the postal strikes that are affecting us here at the moment -- Grrrhhh!! The image is such a cutie from Lili of the Valley, coloured with promarkers again!  Sentiment is from Whiff of Joy.

Ist Christmas Card!

No challenge or anything , but thought I should get cracking on the old Crimbo cards - I have about  150 to make in all for me and the hubster, so they have to be fairly simple unless they are extra specials for family or for crafty friend who appreciate them.  Miss Anya is coloured with Promarkers and I've layered her up with Basic Grey Marrakesh papers and also Papermania.  The tag is from K & Co holiday tags set.

For this week's Promarker and Sugar Bowl challenges

My absolutely gorgeous new Promarkers arrived this morning  - thanks to the super Gina and team over on the Passion for Promarkers challenge.  So thought I'd make a card for this week's challenge which was to use any colour but to use polka dots on the card.  So I've got the spotty background paper and the spots on the blouse.  Think I've used just about every pink possible to shade and blend!!  Image is Peek a Bunny from Sugar Nellie,   and I've used the colour scheme, Pink and Brown, the  sketch below, which I've rotated, for this week's Sugar Bowl challenge. Papers are Basic Grey Eva and Two Scoops.

Passion For Promarkers/Sketch and Stash Challenge

I was so inspired by the Promarker Challenge Blog Hop this morning that I went right away to my little craft room and made this card for the current challenge. Colours for the challenge had to be Sandstone and Blue Pearl apart from skin and hair of course. Thought I'd also combine it with the sketch over on Sketch and Stash which really made me think about using some bits that have been lanquishing away in the corners of my little room. Now the image of Megan from Miss Anya is of course new, but I've had these Basic Grey Marrakesh papers for a while and I haven't used buttons or brads much for ages. The papers really seem to suit the safari feel of these colours with this image, don't you think. Sprayed a little glimmer mist on the
flowers, which you can see hasn't dried on the brad!!!

Card for Son's Girlfriend

Made this for my son's girlfriend Georgia. She's a great dancer, who has just graduated from the Brit school with a triple distinction and has just started a three year dance course in London. Happy Birthday Gorgeous Georgia!! I used this great image from the Kerry Steptoe set I bought a few years ago, with sentiments from a K & Co set which just seems to keep on giving. Think the papers are Dovecraft but I'm being too lazy to go and check!! Flowers were from the pound shop at least a year ago! Coloured with Promarkers. Signature final
